About

Built by a firm, for firms.

Numbers Game started as an internal tool at AG Accounting, and only became a product after it ran the firm's own books. The same founder runs both.

Origin

It solved our own capacity ceiling first.

Numbers Game began inside AG Accounting, a San Francisco accounting firm serving 250+ venture-backed startup clients from seed through acquisition. The problem it solved was our own: context-switching between dozens of clients’ QuickBooks Online files, client after client, close after close.

The fix was one Claude account connected to every client’s QBO file, with every write proposed for human approval before it posts. AG Accounting used it to scale past 250 QBO clients without adding headcount (read the full story), then we made it available to other accounting firms as Numbers Game.

Leadership

Anelya Grant, Founder & CEO.

Anelya Grant is the Founder & CEO of both AG Accounting and Numbers Game. She has run AG Accounting since 2012, serving venture-backed startups from seed through acquisition, and built Numbers Game to solve the same context-switching problem her own firm hit at scale. She is the sole editorial reviewer for everything published on this site.
